Mission: Transition is a space where we explore avenues to making the world a better place. A better place? Yes!
With respect for the environment that gives life to us, with equal opportunities for all, and above all, with kindness.
It’s easy to complain about everything that goes wrong in our world, and there are many excuses not to do anything: The problem is overwhelmingly big! Nobody else cares! I don’t know what the best solution is!
But of course: Waiting is not going to make the world a better place. Doing is.
And there’s no better moment to start than now. Why?
- Because it feels way more fun than not doing it
- Because it means people do the projects they’ve always dreamed of
- Because it gives hope
- Because it feels like the most appropriate thing to be doing
- Because people can benefit from that better world already now
What is your vision of a better world?
Chances are, you already have glimpses of your dream of a better world. Mine, for example, includes the following: [+nature] [+community] [+collaboration] [+laughter] [+learning] [+listening] [+sharing]
Your dream might be larger than life, or it can be tiny. Maybe a better world for you is a new system of global governance, maybe it’s transforming your organization towards sustainability – or maybe it’s just a more meaningful connection with your neighbours or a more healthy, joyful, local way of feeding your family.
Whatever your dream, there’s no need to know how to get there. Start walking, and the path will appear. And if you work on your vision and I work on mine, the world will already be a better place. Even more, if we support each other in achieving our dreams, we can change the world forever.
That’s Mission: Transition. Can I count you in?
